Dr. Lupkowski assists clients in all aspects of patent litigation matters. He has represented clients for over 17 years at a patent boutique firm and a global law firm.
Dr. Lupkowski has experience in the chemical, life sciences, computer systems and software, mechanical, and electrical arts. He has worked on patent matters related to business methods in the insurance and banking industries, graphical user interfaces, facial recognition software, printer software, intraocular lenses, laser machining, liquid crystal displays, metallurgy, orthopedic devices, petroleum processing, polymer processing, semiconductor devices and processing, endoscopes, drug eluting stents, biofuels, biomaterials, bioabsorbable stents and scaffolds, and surgical devices. He has also worked on intellectual property due diligence for M&A transactions and funding decisions.
Dr. Lupkowski has a PhD in chemical engineering and an MBA. He did research in both academia and industry prior to his legal career. As a senior research engineer at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, he worked on behalf of private sector and government clients. He developed and applied computer modeling and simulation methods in technologies such as composites, biotechnology, vehicle emissions, alternative fuel storage and nuclear waste disposal.
